Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO)
MRO, in the aerospace industry, relates to any action that helps to maintain or restore aviation equipment to its peak working condition, whilst also preventing any future performance or mechanical issues that could occur.
Just as they are in the assembly process, Crane Electronics tools are used to maintain or refurbish key components such as jet engines, actuators, nacelles, fuel pumps or any number of critical elements within the construct of an aerospace vehicle.
This can be in the form of the FOD Compliant IQWrench2 and WrenchStar Multi digital torque wrenches being used to tighten and fasten critical bolts and joints, or in the form of the data collectors or tool testing stations for auditing the reliability of power and hand tools.
Crane Electronics currently supply equipment to MRO teams and dedicated companies, for the following applications:
Component / engine assembly & reassembly
Ongoing component and engine maintenance and servicing
Fastener torque auditing
Data collection and traceability processes
Calibration equipment
Assembly tool auditing
