Extensometers
General purposes Contacting Extensometers are designed for accurate strain and extension measurement of wide range of materials such as semi-rigid plastics, rubbers, wire, cable, textiles and many more, up to a maximum sample thickness of 25mm. These contacting extensometers are also available for Long Travel Extensometers ideal for use when testing high-elongation materials.
The Non-Contacting Video Extensometer is suitable for both the measurement of materials constants as well as long travel applications.
Pogo Test Frame
Lloyd Instruments offer POGO systems to provide large working area. The test frames are fitted below the machine base to allow testing of very large samples with the added benefit of optional elevated and ow temperature testing capacity. POGO test frames are available for all single and dual column bench-mounted test machines.
Safety Shield
Splinter shields for use with materials testing machines are available to protect the user when testing brittle samples which are liable to fragment. The shields help prevent sample splinters from leaving the test area when performing a test.
Shields for dual column test stands are fully hinged and can be easily opened, allowing full access to the test area from the front or back of the machine. The machine automatically detects whether the doors are open or closed, ensuring the shield is always securely closed before it will perform.
The safety shield can be ordered from factory or locally fabricated.
Thermal Cabinets and Furnaces
There are two models of high precision heating and cooling thermal cabinets; the TC540 heating cabinets (40°C to 300°C) and the TC550 heating and cooling thermal cabinets (-70°C to 300°C) used with liquid nitrogen (Customer to provide) for cooling.
For high temperature test applications, we offer the TCF950, a high temperature vertical split furnace with a temperature range from 50°C to 950°C.
